1st Day...

My first day of work at Source Media is tomorrow. Wish me luck. What a new challenge, and what a tough decision it was to change jobs. Life is full of challenges, and we dont always understand them. We just have to have faith and take our chances. I'll update soon on how it goes ;)

Whats Happening Now....

Well, lets start with January.....
We celebrated New years as a family along with our close friends Chris and Caroline and their son Nash. Stacey and Brandon and their son Carter, Natalie and Brian, Brandon, and Matt and Jen. It was low key night at the Gehrls place. Life and holidays sure change when ya have tiny people in your life....

February...
Big changes are coming our way. Holden has seven teeth, can crawl, stand, and get anywhere he wants to go. He is eating like a piggy pig pig. Loves Bananas and waffles. He is so fun and growing so fast. He has graduated to a big boy car seat too!

As for Nick and I, we are doing great.  recently retired from US Cellular and am joining Source media as an inside sales consultant (account manager) in their advertising department. I was at US Cellular for 7 years. This is very bittersweet for me. But the pros and growth outway the cons. I will be working 8-5 M-F...with every weekend off!!!

Merry Christmas

What a great Christmas. We really enjoyed spending Holden's first Christmas with our family. Cousins Caden, and Taryn, Uncle Daren, Jason, and Aunt Jill all were here to visit. Holden got lots and lots of great toys, a basketball hoop, a ball pit, a play house, and lots of clothes. We are so blessed with such an amazing family.

We had our six month checkup, at seven months and were 16.11 lbs, and 27.5 inches tall. We are pretty much crawling, sitting up, and have one big tooth, and five that have broken through. The top four are in and soon will look like he has dentures LOL. Hope everyone has a Happy New Year.

Holden's First Turkey Day

Turkey day was a success. Holden enjoyed it very much and we were so excited that he was old enough to try things. He enjoyed sweet potatoes, applesauce, and tried some pumpkin pie. He likes to eat everything and if he could he'd eat a steak. However his one tooth wouldn't work so well for that. Today it is freezing outside and we ran errands. I do not recommend this and did not remember how cold it gets outside....and it's going to get even colder. I think I'll hibernate. Snuggle up with Holden, and wake up in the spring to play some more. Brrr! Holden has also started to scoot and maybe he'll start crawling soon. Still not fully able to sit up on his own, but he's working his abs hard and trying. It was also my 28th bday. My hubby and lil man spoiled me with lots of love and presents. Don't Bite

Quick FYI, our first tooth is through. We didn't do too bad, and its so exciting. The small things we get excited about as a parent are funny. But I definitely love it. I can't wait until it's big enough to see when he smiles! I will put pics up as soon as it gets there.

6 Months Old!

Baby boy is going to be 6 months old on Wednesday! Wow! That is all I can say. We have really enjoyed watching him grow. His first tooth is finally going to pop through soon. His poor little gum is a bit swollen and i can feel it in there. He is really such a joy. So happy and always smiling. I haven't updated in a while and definitely need too. Just been so busy with work, I had my knee scoped, and life just gets in the way sometimes. I can't wait to celebrate all of the holidays with friends and family. They seem twice as fun knowing it's Holden's 1st of each. Here are a few pics from October and his first Halloween.

Pumpkin Time

Today we visited the pumpkin patch. Nick, Grandma and Grandpa Hlavacek, and our friend Liam went out. We had a lot of fun. We looked at pumpkins, and even got to see some farm chickens. Fall is the best time of the year, and it was such a beautiful day. Here are a few pics from our little adventure
